These benches are 'machines' that made themselves - all the tooling, jigs etc that we used to make them are incorporated into the finished works.  Commissioned for King Edward VII School in Sheffield UK, these works are intended as a study of the process of making and we hope pupils during breaktime will gain an understanding and love of the physical processes involved by getting to know the works.
